Olympia, Football stadium in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Olympia is a football stadium in the eastern part of Helsingborg, Sweden, with seating and standing areas spread across four stands for around 16,000 spectators. It is the home ground of Helsingborgs IF and has a natural grass pitch of standard competition size.
The site opened in 1898 as a multi-sport ground used for athletics and cycling. Helsingborgs IF adopted it as their permanent home in 1907 and have played there ever since.
Helsingborgs IF is one of the most followed clubs in southern Sweden, and this ground is where supporters have gathered for over a century. On match days, the surrounding streets fill with people well before kickoff, giving the area a rhythm that feels deeply local.
The stadium is about a 15-minute walk from Helsingborg Central Station, heading east from the city center. On match days it is worth arriving early, as the area around the ground gets busy well before kickoff.
Olympia hosted matches at both the 1958 FIFA World Cup and the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup, making it one of very few grounds in the world to have staged two separate World Cups. The two tournaments were held nearly 40 years apart, on the same grass.
