Industrilandskapet, Industrial heritage complex in Norrköping, Sweden.
Industrilandskapet is a former factory district with red brick buildings lining both sides of the Motala Strom river. Bridges connect the structures while waterways flow throughout the entire area.
The textile factories began in the early 1600s and grew into one of Sweden's largest manufacturing regions. Operations ended in 1986, but the buildings were preserved and adapted for new purposes.
The museums here tell stories about factory workers and how they lived during the industrial era. The exhibitions show the daily rhythms and conditions of those who powered the machines.
The area is easy to explore on foot with river paths connecting all major buildings. University facilities, restaurants, museums, and a concert hall are spread throughout the district.
The Visualiseringscenter C occupies a former factory building and displays 3D visualizations in a dome-shaped hall. Scientific content comes alive through these modern projections in a space once used for manufacturing.
