Rakytov, Mountain summit in Velká Fatra range, Slovakia
The Rakytov summit rises 1567 meters above sea level, featuring a pyramidal shape with a deforested peak and scattered mountain pine vegetation.
The mountain peak has guided travelers through generations, with a wooden cross marking the highest point as a traditional navigation reference.
The summit forms part of the Northwestern Carpathians, where local mountaineering traditions connect inhabitants with their natural surroundings through seasonal activities.
Hikers can reach the summit through a green-marked track from Ružomberok or follow the yellow-marked path starting at Liptovské Revúce in Teplá Valley.
From the summit point, visitors can observe most mountains across Slovakia when weather permits, making it one of the country's principal observation locations.
