Ploská

Ploská is a mountain in the Greater Fatra range characterized by open grassland across its summit and broad slopes. The terrain allows clear views in all directions, and access points exist from communities on both its northern and southern sides.

Mountain paths crossing this area served as important connection routes since medieval times for people traveling between neighboring regions. The terrain helped shape early trade networks and local transportation that linked surrounding communities together.

The mountain is divided by two natural ridgelines: a lower western ridge on one side and a higher eastern ridge on the other, creating a clear geographical division. This double-ridge structure makes it a distinctive landmark for navigation from far away.
