Nakhon Nayok, Province with waterfalls and national parks in central Thailand

The northern section of Nakhon Nayok features mountain ranges, while the central region contains flat river plains formed by the Nakhon Nayok River.

Originally established as Mueang Lablae, the area became Nakhon Nayok in 1350 when it served as a garrison town for the Ayutthaya kingdom.

The provincial emblem displays an elephant lifting a rice ear, representing the agricultural heritage and natural resources of the region.

Located 106 kilometers from Bangkok, Nakhon Nayok offers extensive hiking trails, river rafting opportunities, and guided tours through Khao Yai National Park.

The Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam, constructed with concrete, stands as Thailand's largest dam and functions as a water management structure.
