Kranuan is an administrative district in Khon Kaen Province in northeastern Thailand, comprising nine subdistricts and around 81 villages. The area spans approximately 322 square kilometers and serves roughly 77,000 residents through local administrative offices.
Kranuan was separated from Nam Phong district in 1948 and received official recognition as a complete administrative district in 1958. This administrative change shaped the region's development for decades.
