The project started in the early 2000s as a partnership between Sama Dubai and Istanbul's municipal authorities. It was planned as part of expanding the city's financial district.

The towers stand on Büyükdere Avenue, a central location in the business district. The complex offers multiple entry points to retail and office areas.

Located on Büyükdere Avenue, the development represents an investment of $5 billion in foreign capital toward Istanbul's financial district expansion.
