Istanbul Dialogue Museum

The Istanbul Dialogue Museum creates immersive experiences in complete darkness where blind guides lead visitors through different everyday scenarios and environments.

The museum opened in December 2013 through collaboration between Diyalog Sosyal Girişimcilik Derneği and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to promote social inclusion.

Through four distinct exhibition areas, the museum facilitates understanding between people with different abilities, including those who are blind or deaf.

Located in Gayrettepe Metro Station Exhibition Area, the museum requires advance reservations and accommodates groups of up to eight people per tour.

The Dialogue Café section employs deaf baristas who serve customers while teaching basic Turkish Sign Language during interactions.
