Stadium Meteor

Stadium Meteor is a sports facility in Dnipro with a football field equipped with natural grass and underground heating. The venue holds around 24,000 spectators in individual seats, with most modern amenities coming from reconstruction work done in 2001.

The stadium opened in 1966 and served as the home ground for football club FC Dnipro from the start. During Soviet times, important championship matches were held there until the club relocated to another venue in 2008.

The stadium has long been tied to the identity of football club FC Dnipro and shapes the sports life of the city. People gather here regularly for matches, creating a special environment for fans.

The stadium is centrally located in the city and relatively easy to reach by public transport. Most areas are accessible for visitors with limited mobility, though it is wise to check in advance which entrances and services are currently available.

The stadium is owned by the Southern Machine-Building Plant, an industrial enterprise, making it unusual in the Ukrainian context. This uncommon ownership structure has shaped how the place has developed and operated over the years.
