The site was once a military cemetery from the Russo-Turkish War era. This historical connection remains fundamental to understanding the park's identity today.
The park underwent significant changes in 2024 with the removal of specific monuments as part of Ukraine's national derussification movement.
The grounds have multiple entrances around the perimeter with designated picnic and recreational areas. Wear comfortable shoes and allow time to explore the different plant collections throughout your visit.
Excavations beneath the park uncovered burials connected to a historical church structure. These archaeological discoveries reveal deeper layers of human activity at this location.
