Діорама «Битва за Дніпро», Military diorama in Dnipro, Ukraine.
This diorama depicts a military battle with a 230-degree viewing angle and covers 840 square meters of continuous painted canvas housed in a dedicated exhibition building. The wraparound design allows visitors to observe the scene from different vantage points throughout the space.
The diorama documents military operations from autumn 1943 when Soviet forces crossed the river and attacked German defensive positions during a key phase of the war. This moment marked a turning point in the campaign across the region.
The display was created by artists from the Grekov Studio who based their work on accounts and personal documents from veterans who witnessed these events. The soldiers, weapons, and landscapes shown reflect how people who lived through this battle remembered and understood it.
The exhibition building is open on specific days throughout the week, and guided tours are offered in multiple languages for visitors who want more context. The location is easy to reach by common transport routes in the city center area.
The exhibition also features original World War II tanks and guns displayed in an outdoor area next to the building. These vehicles help visitors understand the equipment and machinery shown in the battle scenes inside.
