I. I.Brodskyにちなんで名付けられたBerdyansky美術館

The Brodsky Museum is an art museum in Berdiansk that holds a large collection of paintings, sculptures, and graphic works by Russian and Ukrainian artists. The exhibition spreads across several galleries displaying different artistic styles and techniques from various periods.

The museum was founded in 1930 when Isaac Brodsky and Pyotr Belousov brought together approximately 230 artworks to establish the initial collection. During World War II the collection was evacuated and returned in 1945, though important records were lost during this period.

The collection reflects the artistic traditions of the Black Sea region, with many works capturing the local landscape and maritime heritage. Visitors encounter paintings and sculptures that speak to the cultural identity of southern Ukraine.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday and allows visitors time to explore the various galleries at a comfortable pace. Plan to spend at least two hours there and check opening times before your visit.

Despite wartime destruction, the museum managed to preserve the core of its collection and rebuild it afterward. This resilience made it an important place for safeguarding regional art history.
