Kajzerwald

Kaiserwald is a residential district in northern Lviv that spreads across hilly ground with small streams running through it. The landscape includes green areas, natural rock formations, and a mix of older and newer houses spread throughout the neighborhood.

The district received its name in the 18th century after Emperor Joseph II visited the estate of Mayor Franciszek Longchamp De Berie. The area later became a popular destination with entertainment facilities that attracted people from the city.

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life displays traditional Ukrainian buildings and household items collected from across the country. The structures are arranged throughout the green surroundings and show how people lived and worked in earlier times.

The district connects to central Lviv through multiple routes and has schools, places of worship, and green spaces. Visitors can explore on foot or use public transportation to reach other parts of the city.

Ukraine's first amusement park opened here in 1908, featuring a three-story restaurant and attractions designed by English architects. The facility brought new forms of entertainment to the city and became a popular gathering place.
