The park's name derives from the historic village of Snesinnja, which references the religious celebration of Christ's Ascension in local tradition.
Located 2 kilometers from central Lviv, the park offers hiking trails, a bike path, a skate park, and winter sports facilities for visitors.
The limestone formations in the park contain marine fossils dating back 20 to 25 million years, providing geological evidence of ancient sea life.
