Zaporizhzhia City Children Botanical Garden

Zaporizhzhia City Children Botanical Garden is a protected botanical space in the city covering about 12 hectares and housing plant collections from different geographical regions. The grounds also feature a greenhouse complex where tropical species are cultivated and maintained.

The institution developed as an educational center for children and expanded over time into a significant learning venue with specialized programs. It established itself as an important place for knowledge sharing with young people.

During wartime, the grounds established shelter spaces and created areas where over 120 plants and more than 60 animals were protected and housed. This flexible use shows how the facility adapted to help both nature and people during difficult periods.
