Faeton museum, Technology museum in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine.
The Faeton Museum displays more than 200 vehicles and machines across six exhibition halls, presenting automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, weapons, and military equipment from different eras. The collection spans from early cars to more recent vehicles, with each piece carefully maintained.
The museum opened in February 2008 and grew rapidly to house one of Europe's largest technical collections. The collection developed over time, documenting the evolution of transportation and mechanical technology across several decades.
The name comes from Phaeton, the mythological figure known for reckless driving. Visitors can observe how machines and vehicles have shaped local stories and remain central to how people here connect with their industrial past.
Visitors can explore the exhibitions with or without a guide, and parking is available on site. The halls are straightforward to navigate, though comfortable shoes are recommended since exploring all the areas takes time.
Many vehicles in the collection remain operational and are regularly used for film productions, television shoots, and historical parades. This keeps the collection dynamic and gives it a purpose beyond museum walls.
