Robbinsville Township spans across 20.58 square miles between New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, containing both residential neighborhoods and commercial districts.
Originally incorporated as Washington Township in 1859, the area changed its name to Robbinsville in 2008 to honor politician George R. Robbins.
The township maintains three educational facilities through its public school district, serving students from kindergarten through twelfth grade education.
Interstate 195 and U.S. Route 130 intersect the township, while NJ Transit provides bus connections to Trenton and Trenton-Robbinsville Airport serves general aviation.
The BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham temple in Robbinsville ranks among the largest Hindu temples constructed in North America.
