Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimò, Italian cultural center in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, United States.
Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò is a cultural center housed in a carefully restored 19th-century building on West 12th Street, with gallery spaces on the ground floor. The New York University Department of Italian Studies programs events throughout the year in these rooms.
The center was established in 1990 through a gift from Baroness Mariuccia Zerilli-Marimò to honor the memory of her late husband Guido. This donation made it possible to acquire and renovate the building to serve Italian cultural and academic purposes.
The center hosts concerts, exhibitions, and film screenings that serve as gathering points for those interested in Italian artistic traditions and contemporary work. Visitors encounter both classical and modern Italian creativity displayed throughout rotating presentations.
All events here are free to attend, with programming that shifts according to the academic calendar. Visitors should check ahead to learn which exhibitions or performances are currently on view.
The facility maintains a comprehensive digital archive of films and photographs documenting past programs that is available to the public. Additionally, a specialized collection of Italian literature resources serves researchers and students interested in the subject.
