15 Union Square West

The 12-story residential building at Union Square contains 33 luxury apartments with a dark glass and aluminum exterior that frames the original cast-iron arches. The preserved metalwork elements from the original structure remain visible as a central feature of the contemporary facade design.

The site served as the headquarters of Tiffany & Company from 1870 until 1906, when the jewelry company moved to Fifth Avenue. The cast-iron structures from that era were later retained during the building's transformation into residential apartments.

The building displays a mix of 19th-century industrial and modern design elements, with the original cast-iron arches from around 1870 remaining visible. This combination shapes its exterior and gives the place a distinctive look that merges old craftsmanship with contemporary design.

The building sits on Union Square and offers several amenities including a lap pool, fitness center, yoga studio, and full-time doorman services. The location provides easy access to the surrounding neighborhood for exploring nearby attractions and transit options.

The 2008 renovation protected the original cast-iron arches by encasing them in glass, keeping them visible from the outside. This approach creates a visual conversation between the place's past and its modern use today.
