The Cornell School of Nursing was a nursing school on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, affiliated with New York Hospital and located on its medical campus. It offered a five-year program leading to a bachelor's degree in nursing, combining classroom learning with clinical training on-site.
The school was founded in 1877 as the New York Hospital Training School for Nurses, making it one of the earliest formal nursing programs in the country. It joined Cornell University in 1942 and closed in 1979 after more than a century of training graduates.
