East Over Reservation

East Over Reservation is a protected nature preserve with wooden boardwalks, mixed woodlands, and wetland areas connected by multiple hiking trails. The pathways guide visitors through different ecological zones and showcase the natural diversity of southeastern Massachusetts.

The land was protected by the Trustees of Reservations to preserve it from development and ongoing change. Stone walls built during the region's agricultural period remain visible throughout the property as markers of past land use.

The Trustees of Reservations manages this space as part of their mission to preserve natural areas across Massachusetts for public education and recreation.

Maps and information are available at the main kiosk near the entrance to help you navigate the different trail loops. Wearing sturdy walking shoes is helpful since some sections pass through wet areas and marshy ground.

Wild blueberry bushes spread across the forest floor and draw many animals throughout the growing season as they feed on these natural berries. This quiet food source is easy to miss if you stay only on the marked paths.
