Vienna Twin Tower, Contemporary skyscraper in Wienerberg district, Vienna, Austria.
The Vienna Twin Tower is a modern office building in southern Vienna, consisting of two connected glass structures. The taller section rises 138 meters (453 feet) with 37 floors, while five bridges link the two parts together.
Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas designed the complex between 1996 and 2001, marking a turning point in Vienna's architectural progress. The construction showed the city was ready to embrace modern high-rise buildings in its southern district.
The towers have become part of Vienna's modern identity and show how contemporary architecture takes shape in the city. Visitors can observe how glass and open forms reshape the urban landscape while creating new working spaces.
The location is easy to reach by public transport and offers good views of the surroundings. The best views of the towers come when approaching from the south or walking around the plaza area.
The two towers have different heights, creating different optical effects depending on viewing angle. This asymmetrical design was intentional and gives the building special visual presence in the city.
