Wasserbehälter Wienerberg - Verwaltungsbau

The Wasserbehälter Wienerberg administrative building is a water storage facility in Vienna's Favoriten district that combines reinforced concrete construction with original historical walls. It distributes water to several neighborhoods across Vienna.

The facility was built in the second half of the 19th century as part of Vienna's expansion of water infrastructure during that period. Several expansions followed to serve the growing city.

The water facility represents a cornerstone of Vienna's infrastructure development, supplying spring water from the Lower Austrian and Styrian Alps to multiple districts.

The building is located in the Favoriten district and is not intended for regular public visits since it operates as an active infrastructure facility. It can be viewed from the outside but offers no public access to interior areas.

During recent renovation work, the water supply was maintained continuously by alternating between reservoir chambers. One section always remained operational while the other underwent modernization.
