Anif Palace, Water palace near Salzburg, Austria

Located beside an artificial pond at the southern edge of Salzburg, Anif Palace exhibits neo-Gothic architectural features with multiple towers and white walls.

Between 1838 and 1848, Count Alois Arco-Stepperg transformed the original structure into its current form through extensive renovations and architectural modifications.

The palace gained recognition when King Ludwig III of Bavaria took refuge there during the November Revolution, leading to the Declaration of Anif.

The property remains under private ownership by the von Moy family, requiring advance arrangements for visits and maintaining restricted public access.

The palace served as a filming location for multiple international productions, including The Sound of Music and The Great Race motion pictures.
