Villa Swoboda

Villa Swoboda is a Neo-Renaissance building in Anif featuring an asymmetrical tower topped with a flat roof. White window bezels and ashlar stones at the corners create visual detail and refinement throughout the structure.

Pharmacist wholesaler Wilhelm Swoboda commissioned architect Karl Sattler to build this residence, which was completed in 1869. The estate later became connected to the Austrian ruling family through marriage celebrations.

The residence served as a backdrop for royal connections in Austrian history and today hosts large celebrations. Locals and visitors recognize it as a landmark linked to the area's noble past.

The property is located in Anif near Salzburg and is now known as Casa Austria. The building serves as a private residence and celebration venue, so public access is generally limited to special occasions.

The property features an English-style garden built on land that once belonged to Mayerhofgut, one of Anif's largest farms. This transformation shows how the village's rural landscape changed during the 1800s.
