Tumulus of Hottomont, Ancient burial mound in Éghezée, Belgium.

The Tumulus of Hottomont stands 11.5 meters high with a diameter of 50 meters, forming a conical earthen structure crowned with trees.

Dating from the 2nd century, this Gallo-Roman burial site appears on the 1777 Ferraris atlas under the name 'Tomb of Hottomont'.

Archaeological excavations conducted in 1932 investigated local stories connecting the burial site to a general named Otto, though this link remains unproven.

The tumulus sits along the ancient Bavay-Cologne route, known locally as the Roman Road, 2 kilometers southeast of Grand-Rosière-Hottomont.

This burial mound received recognition as an exceptional heritage site in 2013, marking it among the largest preserved tumuli in Wallonia.
