Trubia, Parish and population center in Oviedo, Spain

Trubia is a parish in Oviedo where two rivers meet. The area contains several smaller communities and spreads across gentle terrain with mixed neighborhoods of houses and older industrial structures.

The area was rural for centuries until a royal weapons factory was built in the 1800s. This factory changed it into an industrial center and shaped what it became.

The name Trubia comes from the river that flows through the area and shapes local identity. People here connect their history closely with the waterway and the industries it has supported.

The place is located right within the city of Oviedo and is easy to reach by local transport. Since it is a residential area with some older industrial sites, visitors can walk around and explore comfortably.

The royal weapons factory founded in 1794 is one of Asturias oldest industrial sites and still operates in modified form today. Visitors can still see the architecture from that era and spot traces of industrialization throughout the area.
