Tafalla extends across the valley of the Zidacos River, positioned 30 kilometers south of Pamplona in the northern section of Spain.
The first documented reference to Tafalla appears in a tenth-century chronicle describing a military campaign by Abd al-Rahman III against the Kingdom of Pamplona.
The annual celebration of Saint Sebastian on January 20 brings together residents for traditional festivities, including local music performances and regional food specialties.

In 1043, the residents of Tafalla received special privileges from King García III de Nájera after supporting his victory against Ramiro I of Aragón.
