Parauta

Parauta is a mountain municipality in the Serranía de Ronda region, featuring narrow streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses set against forested hillsides. The settlement sits at a higher elevation and spreads across hilly terrain with green surroundings.

Following the Granada War, the Catholic Monarchs claimed this territory as royal land and brought new Christian settlers to repopulate it. This period shaped how the settlement developed and grew.
