Fountain of Cybele, Rococo fountain in central Madrid, Spain.

The white marble fountain features goddess Cybele seated on a chariot pulled by two stone lions in the Plaza de Cibeles.

King Charles III commissioned architect Ventura Rodriguez to design this monumental fountain, which was completed in 1782 as part of Madrid's urban renovation.

The fountain marks the beginning of the Paseo del Arte, with the Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum, and Reina Sofia Museum within walking distance.

Metro station Banco de España provides direct access to the fountain, which stands at the intersection of Paseo del Prado and Alcalá Street.

Real Madrid football club supporters gather at this fountain to celebrate championships by decorating the goddess statue with team scarves.
