Batería de Urrutia, Military fortress in San Fernando, Spain
The Batería de Urrutia stands as a defensive fortification built to protect the southern entrance of the Islote de Sancti Petri along the coast.
During the Napoleonic invasion, this battery played a key role in preventing French troops from advancing through the Sancti Petri channel in the early 1800s.
The structure represents Spanish military engineering practices and forms part of the Places of Courts and Constitution of 1812 historical collection.

Between this battery and San Genís Battery, a boat bridge allowed Spanish and English troops to cross toward Chiclana to fight against French forces.
