Batería de Urrutia

Batería de Urrutia is a coastal fortification on the Islote de Sancti Petri, built to defend this area. Today, masonry and pillars remain visible, showing the original layout of the structure.

The battery developed during a period of intense coastal defense and played a role in the Napoleonic Wars. It was part of a defensive line that covered multiple points and protected the area from attack.

The site is accessible from outside and offers views of the preserved walls and structures. Best conditions for visiting are in clear weather, when the remains are clearly visible.
