Church of Santa María de la Corte, Catholic church in central Oviedo, Spain.
The Church of Santa María de la Corte stands next to the San Vicente Monastery, which now houses the Archaeological Museum of Asturias near Oviedo Cathedral.
The church was built in the 16th century on the foundations of the former San Vicente Convent, following designs by architects Juan de Cerecedo and Juan del Ribero Rada.
The interior contains valuable religious artworks, including paintings of the Martyrdom of Saint Vincent, Saint Benedict, Saint Scholastica, and the Immaculate Conception.
The church, located at Calle San Vicente, 33001 in Oviedo, underwent extensive restoration work in 2013 and 2014 with a total investment of 265,000 euros.
A spacious chamber above the left side chapels provided Fray Benito Jerónimo Feijoo with a private balcony view of the altar during mass services.
