Pignatelli Park, Public park in Zaragoza, Spain
Pignatelli Park is a public green space in Zaragoza with grassy areas, coniferous woods, gravel paths, and ornamental fountains. The grounds stretch generously along Paseo de Cuéllar and offer various zones for lingering.
The grounds were originally a transportation hub connected to the Imperial Canal of Aragon, enabling the movement of passengers and goods until the mid-20th century. This historical role shaped the character of the place.
The park takes its name from Ramón Pignatelli, an engineer whose work shaped the region. Visitors find monuments and green spaces that reflect his importance to Zaragoza.
The park offers accessible entrances, adapted restrooms, two refreshment kiosks, and play areas for children. Numerous benches line the pathways for resting.
An expansion completed in 2023 doubled the park area and introduced a central lake for small boats. The new Torrero gate forms a striking entrance to this extended section.
