The Carlos de Amberes Foundation occupies a restored church building from 1584, featuring exhibition halls, an auditorium, and artistic spaces in central Madrid.
Founded in 1594 by Charles of Antwerp, this institution initially provided shelter for travelers from the Seventeen Provinces of the Netherlands arriving in Madrid.
The foundation houses the painting 'The Martyrdom of Saint Andrew' by Peter Paul Rubens and maintains a library with 4,000 volumes about European culture.
Located at Claudio Coello 99, the foundation operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, offering exhibition spaces and conference rooms.
Two identical exhibition halls, named Ghent and Brussels rooms, feature natural lighting and direct access to a terrace for cultural events.
