Benzú

Benzú is an urban beach along the Mediterranean coast in Ceuta with a length of about 400 meters and width of about 15 meters. The shoreline consists of a mix of gravel and sand, framed by the mountains of Morocco visible across the Strait of Gibraltar.

Archaeological finds near this location reveal that people lived here thousands of years ago, with evidence of rock shelters and caves from the Stone Age. These early settlements show that this region was already important to human movement and trade routes.

The beach sits where Spanish and Moroccan cultures meet, and visitors can observe how both influence the way people use this space. The proximity to another country makes this a place where different traditions naturally come together.

The beach is easily accessible via the N-354 road and has basic facilities like waste bins and cleaning services. Lifeguards are present during peak season to ensure safety.

What makes this beach special is its location at the northernmost point before the border with Morocco, where three different territories are visible. From one spot, visitors can see Spain, Gibraltar, and Morocco, making it a remarkable place to understand the region's geography.
