Built between the late 17th and early 18th centuries, this residence belonged to Catalan merchants who established commercial networks between Spain and the Americas.
The interior contains a vaulted oratory decorated with Rococo-style wall paintings depicting Marian themes, reflecting the religious customs of Spanish nobility.
The property currently functions as Hotel Palacio de Arizón, offering visitors the opportunity to stay in a genuine Spanish colonial-era merchant residence.
This mansion remains the only complete example of a dual-purpose trader house in the region, combining residential spaces with storage facilities for American trade goods.
