In 1246, Pope Innocent IV issued a papal bull allowing the female community in Valladolid to build a church and monastery construction began in 1247.
The renovation in 1730 incorporated a main altarpiece crafted by renowned assembler and sculptor Pedro de Correas, enriching the interior religious artistry.
The church holds daily masses at 19:00 and additional services at 12:00 from Monday to Friday, with schedule modifications during summer months.
The original church structure now functions as the lower choir area and contains two chapels established by Inés de Guzmán and Alfonso de Castilla.
