Palacio del Conde de Torres Cabrera, Nobility residence in central Córdoba, Spain

The Palacio del Conde de Torres Cabrera is a two-story mansion in central Córdoba featuring red almagra and ocher facades with classical architectural details. The building fills an entire block and combines residential rooms with formal reception spaces.

The palace was built in the 17th century and underwent major renovation in 1847 to become the residence of the Count of Torres Cabrera. This extensive overhaul adapted the building to 19th-century standards and tastes.

The Throne Room was designed in 1877 for a royal visit and displays elegant Louis XV style with ornate mirrors and musical motifs. This space shows what luxury meant to the nobility living here during the 1800s.

The palace is within walking distance of central Córdoba and offers visitors multiple rooms to explore throughout the structure. The courtyard with the fountain serves as a natural waypoint for navigating the interior.

The rectangular courtyard preserves Roman mosaics from the 2nd century depicting scenes of Bacchus surrounded by an arcade of Tuscan columns. These ancient artworks remain embedded in the floor where guests have walked for centuries.
