Monasterio de Santa Marta

The Monasterio de Santa Marta is a Jerónimas monastery in Córdoba's historic center, featuring a single-nave church with ribbed vaulting that guides the eye toward the altar. The main altarpiece showcases Renaissance craftsmanship with carved details and painted religious scenes.

The monastery was founded in 1455 through a donation by Catalina López de Morales to establish a religious house. The Pope granted formal authorization in 1465 for the Hieronymite community to settle and conduct their monastic life here.
