Palacio de Villena, Renaissance palace in Valladolid, Spain

The Palacio de Villena features a two-story courtyard with semicircular arches supported by Ionic columns, decorated with medallions in the spandrels.

The palace construction began in the mid-16th century under Antonio de Velasco y Rojas, a counselor to Emperor Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire.

The National Sculpture Museum occupies the palace, housing sculpture collections, a library, conference rooms, and restoration workshops for Spanish artistic heritage.

Located at 2 Cadenas de San Gregorio Street, the palace stands across from San Gregorio College in the central district of Valladolid.

The corner towers were added during the 19th century by the Marquis of Casa Pombo, who transformed the facade with neo-Renaissance elements.
