Palace of Vista Alegre, Royal residence in Carabanchel, Spain

The Palace of Vista Alegre stands within a 50-hectare estate, featuring Renaissance architectural elements and extensive gardens with exotic plants throughout the grounds.

Queen Maria Cristina de Borbon acquired the property in 1832 and initiated its transformation into a palace under architect Narciso Pascual Colomer between 1844 and 1846.

The palace complex evolved from a royal residence to serve various educational purposes, including a center for disabled workers and a special education facility.

The palace currently houses the Las Acacias Regional Center for Innovation and Training, focusing on educational innovation and professional development for teachers.

Within the estate lies a preserved caramel-colored marble bathtub connected to the heating system of the former greenhouse complex known as the Big Stove.
