Palacio de Aguirre, Art museum in Plaza de la Merced, Cartagena, Spain.
The Palacio de Aguirre features ornate ceramic decorations, including angel figures on its upper facade and a distinctive ceramic dome.
Built between 1898 and 1901, mining entrepreneur Camilo Aguirre commissioned architect Victor Beltri to design this modernist mansion.
The palace ballroom displays neorococó decorations and ceiling paintings by artist Cecilio Pla depicting spring allegories.
The building now houses MURAM (Regional Museum of Modern Art) and serves as headquarters for the Autonomous Community of Murcia Region.
The palace includes original features such as an imperial staircase, a Gothic-style oratory, and bee sculptures symbolizing prosperity.
