Palacio de El Castañar is a three-story stone mansion in Mazarambroz built with regular ashlar masonry throughout its structure. Its main entrance features a rounded arch decorated with detailed moldings, and the design shows clear influences from Scottish castle architecture.
Construction of this palace started in 1904 and was completed in 1909, designed by architect Saldaña who drew inspiration from Abbotsford House. The project reflected the period's interest in recreating European castle traditions in Spain.
The palace received recognition as a Cultural Heritage Site, with its main entrance featuring a rounded arch decorated with detailed moldings and archivolts.
