Palacio de Polentinos, Renaissance palace in Ávila, Spain.
The palace features a decorative portal with military motifs and a central courtyard containing monolithic columns arranged in two levels.
Built in the early 16th century by the Contreras family, the palace remained their residence until the 18th century when it passed to the Polentinos counts.
The building incorporates Plateresque architectural elements executed by artists from the school of Vasco de la Zarza, a prominent Spanish Renaissance sculptor.
Located at Calle de Vallespín 19 in Ávila, the palace opens for visits as the General Military Archive with prior reservation at +34 920 352 584.
The ceremonial hall contains a coffered ceiling with wooden beams supported by carved corbels, displaying Renaissance craftsmanship.
