The s'Hostal quarries extend across 7 hectares of land, featuring both manually carved sections and mechanically cut geometric formations in the limestone landscape.
Extraction of marés limestone at s'Hostal continued from the 19th century until 1994, providing essential building materials for traditional Menorcan architecture.
The Líthica association transformed the former industrial site into an educational space where visitors learn about traditional stone cutting techniques and local geology.
Located one kilometer from Ciutadella along Camí Vell, the quarries offer guided tours from 9:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:30 every day of the week.
The quarry complex contains a stone maze and herb labyrinth, integrating natural elements with the industrial heritage of limestone extraction.
