Museum of the Public Baths of Caesaraugusta

The Museum of the Public Baths of Caesaraugusta displays remains from Roman bathing facilities, including a rectangular basin measuring about 10 meters long and preserved toilet areas from the first century. The layout reveals how these facilities were organized and used for bathing.

The bath complex was built during the early imperial period and served the Roman city for several centuries. Archaeological teams uncovered the remains beneath modern Zaragoza in 1982, leading to the museum's opening in 1999.

Public baths served as gathering places where Romans came together for personal hygiene and social conversation. Walking through the space, you can sense how important these facilities were in daily community life.

The museum sits in the old city center and is easy to reach on foot, with clear signage to the entrance. The indoor spaces are climate controlled and fairly compact, so most visits take about an hour.
