Parque del Agua Zaragoza

The Parque del Agua Luis Buñuel is a large urban park spreading across 120 hectares along the Ebro River, offering walking trails, water features, and native riverside plants. The space is divided into different zones that mix natural landscapes with open areas for rest and exploration.

The park was created in 2008 for the International Exposition, transforming former farmland in the Ranillas meander into a modern green space. This project was part of a broader effort to renew the city and strengthen its connection with the river.

The park reflects how residents connect with the Ebro River through spaces designed for learning, performing, and playing. You can feel how much the city has woven water and nature into everyday life here.

Two parking areas offer around 1,100 free spaces if you arrive by car. Bus lines Ci1 and Ci2 serve the park entrances if you prefer public transportation.

The site features a flood management system built into its landscape that mimics natural water flows and protects the ecosystem. This thoughtful design shows how recreational spaces can also serve urban water planning.
