The park opened in 2008 for the International Exposition, transforming former agricultural land in the Ranillas meander into a modern green urban space.
The park incorporates environmental education areas, performance spaces, and recreational zones that reflect the connection between Zaragoza residents and the Ebro River.
Two parking areas provide 1,100 free spaces, with public bus lines Ci1 and Ci2 connecting visitors to the park entrances throughout operating hours.
The park contains a system designed to manage river floods, integrating natural water flow patterns into its ecological infrastructure.
