Platja de Punta Galera

Platja de Punta Galera is a rocky beach in Sant Antoni de Portmany featuring stone formations along the shoreline that create multiple natural terraces extending into the Mediterranean at different levels. The rock platforms vary in height and expose different sections of the coastline.

Local fishermen established a base near this beach in the early 20th century, building small stone huts that remain visible along the coast. The structures testify to the area's long ties to fishing activities.

The beach retains ties to traditional Ibizan coastal living, with locals still visiting during summer evenings to fish from the rock platforms.

Reaching the beach requires a 15-minute walk from the nearest parking area, so comfortable walking shoes are essential. Water shoes are recommended due to the rocky terrain and uneven surfaces.

The flat rock platforms create natural swimming pools at various heights, allowing swimmers to choose different water depths. This feature lets visitors select the level that suits their comfort and swimming ability.
