Parc del Mirador del Poble Sec is a small green space set into the slope of Montjuïc hill, just next to Hotel Miramar. Its paths wind through trees and bushes, and from several spots you can look out over the port and the sea.
The hillside around here was already used by Barcelonians for cookouts and fountain gatherings in the late 1800s. The current layout was created between 1995 and 1997 by Patrizia Falcone, giving order to land that had long been uneven and partly neglected.
Near the lower paths you can see neighbors gathering at the ping-pong table or watching kids use the simple playground after school. A short walk away, the streets of Poble-sec feel busy and informal, which makes this green spot feel like a local backyard.
The paths are smooth and suitable for wheelchairs, so most of the space is easy to move around. If you come by funicular to the stop near the hotel, leave yourself about ten minutes of walking to reach the upper entrance.
Older terraces and fragments of former structures remain visible among the vegetation, mixing with newer flower beds and benches. Few visitors notice that the park sits above the Jardins de Mossèn Costa i Llobera, a garden known for its many cactus species.
